Would you like to join in?
If you've looked through the Action Plan at the end of the Parish Plan, and you've seen a project that you'd like to be involved in, then please let us know!
Currently, the following projects are looking for volunteers:
Flower Beds and Planters
Volunteers wanted to help care for village flower beds and planters. The Parish Council and WI are taking care of some prominent areas and general village maintenance, and other individuals have adopted flower beds near their homes. We'd like help to care for the remaining areas (see the article on the Environment page:Parish environment - an article from Stoke Gabriel News Nov. 2015 Village Flowerbeds and Planters). Please contact Helen Kummer on 01803 782319 or email: [email protected]
Wildlife Map and Ecology Survey
The Wildlife Group is looking to create a wildlife map and undertake an ecology survey. For further information, contact Caroline Snow on tel:782213 or email: [email protected]
Village Map
Village Map. It would be great to create a village map showing local businesses, places of interest, walks and wildlife. Anyone interested in gathering information, designing the map or creating it - paint or woodcarving, perhaps - please contact the Parish Plan Group
Community Group
Our Community Group needs people to help with its general running - anyone who enjoys chairing meetings, creating publicity, and applying for funding, general committee skills are all needed regularly.
Stoke Gabriel Website
The first Stoke Gabriel website (which is owned and funded by the Parish Council) was created By Cllr Howard Rawlings. In July 2020 the Parish Council replaced this. See https://stokegabriel.co.uk
Information is still being added.
